Types of Processes to Cut Metals
Understanding that metal is a tough material that needs special tools and processes to cut so it can be used according to specification, there are various ways wherein this can be done. Three of the most basic processes wherein metals are cut so it can fit to specifications are turning, drilling, and grinding. These processes can be done through simple devices from hand tools, bench tools to power tools . And there are a more sophisticated metal cutting wherein it is best applied in more difficult and thicker metals such as steel metals and steel sheets. These are welding or burning technologies like oxyfuel, laser, flame, plasma, Lincoln and water jet. These processes can also be applied to industrial metal cutting where thicker and more difficult metals are cut.
